OUR PARISH OUR FUTURE

St Vincent de Paul Annual Collection

The most important appeal of the year by one of the greatest organisations in the world, takes place at all Masses during the weekend of December 6/7th. . The work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul needs no introduction to most of us. Let’s give them the where with all to love and show compassion in our name, this Christmastime.
This will replace the SHARE collection

Immaculate Conception December 8th

December 8th is a Holy day of Obligation and Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. in Ashford and Glenealy and there will be mass at 7:30 p.m. in Ashford. Please note there will be no mass on eve of feast.

Parish Christmas Greeting/Census

This year we hope to deliver a Christmas greeting and a parish calendar to as many of our parishioners’ homes as we can. We will also be including a census form which we hope parishioners will take a moment to complete. A census is required so as to help plan for the future requirements of our parish.  A letter from Fr. Kevin explaining the reasons for the census will also be included.

However if we are to achieve this then we need volunteers to deliver the envelopes to the various homes so if you can spare a bit of time we would love to see you at a meeting for volunteers in the Ashford Church on Friday 5th December at 8:00 p.m. Details of our Glenealy meeting can be obtained from Eleanor O’Neill at 0404 44469

Tree of Remembering

The Tree of Remembering may be now bare, but labels in a variety of colours are available to fill in!!. Commit to leave a small gift for someone less fortunate, or to visit a lonely person or to forgive someone with whom you are estranged. The list is endless.

Please take a moment to make your commitment to share with  and remember others during this Holy Season!!

Appeal for Altar Servers

Boys and Girls

The Altar servers play a major part in the prayer and worship of our parish.  We are currently looking for boys and girls who are interested in becoming servers.  If you are interested and have made your First Holy Communion please get your parent or guardian to write a letter allowing you to serve and drop it in to one of the priests and then we will arrange the training.
