Pope John Paul 11 said: “Parish means Christ’s presence among men and women; parish means a set of persons; parish means community in which Jesus Christ confirms the presence of God. The parish is a living part of the people of God.” That is what we endeavour to build and create here in the parish of Ashford and Glenealy and you are welcome to be part of it.

It is appropriate that we should pause to pray and light a candle, an offering of our lives; a witness to all who pass by that
our Church is a place of prayer.
As years flow into years, Jesus you have stayed close to us and
have been our source of strength in times of change and challenge.
Continue to hold hope and light before us as we move into new 
centuries and walk home to you, our destiny and glory forever.
